Software:

While the zPoint hardware provides both the device-level interface (such as ballast controllers) and low-power wireless links (ZigBee, etc.) tying into larger networks and the Internet, zPoint OpenBAS can optionally provide both the control and scheduling of devices, and the collection and aggregation of data from monitoring those devices. The zPoint system allows for logical and deliberate control of facilities and their systems worldwide. Using standards-based Web technology, zPoint builds the devices for distributed architecture. OpenBAS provides the data from monitoring all those devices. OpenBAS is an open architecture control and Environmental Management System based on published, open standards. These data are pushed up to the controllers, which in turn relay them to floor controllers, building controllers, and ultimately the OpenBAS servers where it is stored and accessible in industry-standard database file formats.
